He was born in Nawabshah, Sindh, Pakistan, and immigrated to the United States in 1999 after completing his formal education in medicine and surgery. Since then, Khalid has taught allied health education classes in vocational schools in the Greater Sacramento area, as well as Sacramento Job Corps Center and Shifa Clinic, where he provides phlebotomy services and training to medical students. Khalid participates in several professional and community organizations, including Shifa Clinic, the Muslim Mosque Association and more.
