Great Onyx Job Corps Center is located on a 200-acre campus in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, just a short drive from the lush Mammoth Cave Nation Park. The center opened its doors to students back in June of 1965.
Located in the lush Mammoth Cave Nation Park in Kentucky, the Great Onyx Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center opened its doors to its first students back in June of 1965, making it one of the 88 JCCs that opening during the program’s first year. The center is named after the nearby Great Onyx Cave.
Our campus' residential living facilities can house 160 male students in three dorms and 54 female students in one dorm. Residential students live with three to seven roommates and enjoy the following amenities:
- laundry facilities
- TV lounges
- computer labs
- vending machines
- bathrooms and showers
Independent living advisers are on-site to help make dorm life safe, clean, and productive for students.
Students stay in separate male and female dormitories. There are eight students in each dorm room. Your room will be assigned to you upon arrival at the center.
