Career Options

Most program graduates become Emergency Medical Technicians, but some also go on to be paramedics, firefighters, and health technologists. There are full-time and part-time opportunities.

Requirements

Before entering the program, students must:

  • Have keen senses, especially eyesight and color vision.
  • Complete the core curriculum with passing scores on all written and performance tests.
  • Meet basic academic requirements in math and reading.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a clean criminal record.
  • Meet strenuous physical requirements.
