Kailyn Collins, a 2015 Muhlenberg Job Corps graduate, left the program to further her education at the advanced training program at the Potomac Job Corps Center. While at MJCC, Collins completed the heavy equipment operator and truck driving courses. At the recent 2016 NJCA Policy Forum, Muhlenberg Job Corps Business Community Liaison Karen Robinson met up again with Collins and was excited to learn that she is doing extremely well at Potomac. Collins attends classes at Potomac to become a rail freight service worker and also stays busy with two part-time jobs.

She is currently completing an internship with Leonard Resource Group/NJCA, receiving a pay of $13/hr, and works in the skybox at the Nationals Baseball Stadium, making $14/hr. Collins said she is saving, saving, and saving! Her aspirations are to obtain employment with Norfolk Southern, a premier transportation company in the nation. Collins also had a part in the events of the NJCA Policy Forum when she presented retiring NJCA Chairman of the Board, Dick Schubert, with a token of appreciation for his nearly 20 years of service to NJCA.

Muhlenberg JCC staff and students are proud to have Collins as an MJCC alumni and wish her all the best in her future career endeavors.
