Jacobs Creek Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center is located in Bristol, Tennessee, in the dense, tranquil woods of the Cherokee National Forest. The 33-acre rural campus is a perfect setting for students to focus on building bright futures for themselves and just a short drive from the Bristol Motor Speedway.
The Jacobs Creek Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center has been at the forefront of the War on Poverty since its early days as a Depression-era Civilian Conservation Corp camp in the 1930s. Back then, the camp, and many others like it, gave young people the hope and purpose their lives lacked. As one of the first Job Corps centers the country in 1965, the center has continued that mission to this day.
Our campus' residential living facilities can house 168 male students in three dorms and 56 female students in one dorm. Residential students live and share a bathroom with three to seven roommates and enjoy the following amenities:
- laundry facilities
- TV rooms
- computer labs
- vending machines
- wireless internet
There is also an on-site independent living adviser to help make dorm life safe, clean, and productive for the students.
Students stay in separate male and female dormitories. There are four to eight students in each dorm room. Your room will be assigned to you upon arrival at the center.
Job Corps values diversity and will provide you with opportunities to live and interact with people of many different backgrounds.
